In the audio settings of OBS (not settings of the dazzle in OBS) I found the line in from the dazzle was an option in it so i decided to apply it.

So I thought I was running out of luck.ДЄnd i decided to fiddle around with OBS settings one more time before I went and did the armarec workaround.

Now I went to the thread provided by Jay but I have no idea how to do the fix or if it is even possible to do. BUT when I go into OBS, add the dazzle into one of the sources, and pull up the properties I only get my laptops microphone as an availabe audio source.

On the software when I open up the capturing software (which is called studio importer if that makes any difference) the sound plays through it. which I assume is different from the usual Pinnacle studio provided in previous models. The software that it comes with is called Pinnacle Studio for Dazzle.

Selecting a region changes the language and/or content on so i shouldve been a bit more specific with my situation. For example, if you have a PAL videotape, then do not play it in an NTSC-only device.

Note: Not all devices can process both NTSC and PAL videotapes. If your device is compatible with both the NTSC and PAL standards, then select the correct standard on the device.

Then, import the captured clips into an Adobe Premiere Pro project. If your converter cannot output in DV format, then use the converter's bundled software to capture video. If you capture from an analog-to-digital converter that can output video in multiple formats (MPEG-2, H.264, and so on), then select DV as the output format. If your device has such an option, then select DV or HDV instead of AUTO.

Some other HDV devices have an AUTO option for the output format.

If your device has a DV OUTPUT setting, then set it to HDV/DV. If this item is set to DV LOCK, then the devices downsample HDV video during output.

Some Canon HDV devices have a menu setting called DV OUTPUT.

If your device has an i.LINK CONV setting, then set it to OFF. If this item is set to ON, then the device downsamples HDV video during output.

Some Sony HDV devices have a menu setting called i.LINK CONV.

If you are capturing HDV video, then disable any device setting that downsamples HDV video. Settings on some HDV camcorders and VTRs downsample HDV source material to DV resolution during output. Then, disconnect the device from the computer, reconnect the device, and reopen the Capture panel. Important: If you change your device's output format, then close the Capture panel. See the device's documentation for instructions. Determine whether your device has a button, a switch, or a menu setting that changes its output format. Some video devices can output more than one digital video format. Have no other problems other than no audio on capture. Devices like your Dazzle 107 attempt to convert an analog video/audio signal into digital data. I have WinXP Home SP2, 3.0 ghz processor with 512mb memory. Capturing is just the process of getting the video in the best possible quality into a file, that the downstream applications support.
